This lecture will provide information on the developing technology of artificial intelligence, specifically, deep learning as applied to maxillofacial radiology and dentistry.
The presentation will assess the current state of deep learning technology and its effects on radiologic interpretation of 2D and 3D images. Deep learning’s effects on the practice of maxillofacial radiology and dentistry in general will be discussed. The presentation will conclude with a brief look at the future of DL and maxillofacial radiology.
